  • Electric sprayer fixtures
  • Any professional pressurization system requiring automatic on/off control

Installation

Materials Required

  • 1 AquaVanta Pro 12V Automatic Pump with accessories
  • 2+ pieces of flexible, reinforced hose (minimum 1/2" ID) with collapsing strength of 2x inlet collapsing pressure
  • 4 stainless steel hose clamps and screws
  • 4 screws to fasten pump to mounting surface
  • 1 electrical cutoff switch
  • 1 fuse (20A recommended)
  • 1 screwdriver
  • 1 strong cutting implement for tubing
  • Teflon tape or thread sealant (recommended)

Setup Instructions

  1. Mounting: The pump may be mounted in any position. If mounted vertically, position the pump head facing downward to prevent leakage into the motor casing in the event of a malfunction.
  2. Feet: Secure the mounting feet but do not overtighten — compressed feet reduce their ability to dampen noise and vibration.
  3. Hose Size: Intake hose must be minimum 1/2" (13mm) ID. Main distribution line from pump outlet should also be minimum 1/2" (13mm) ID.
  4. Plumbing: Use flexible hose wherever possible to reduce noise transmission. Avoid rigid pipe runs directly off the pump.
  5. Wiring: Wire directly to a 12V battery with an inline fuse and cutoff switch. Ensure all connections are weatherproof and secure.

Pressure Switch Adjustment

The automatic pressure switch is factory preset for optimal performance at 75 PSI. To adjust, open the cover with a Phillips (cross) screwdriver and turn the pressure switch adjuster:

  • Clockwise: Increases cut-off pressure
  • Counter-clockwise: Decreases cut-off pressure

⚠️ Caution: Do not exceed the rated maximum pressure of 75 PSI. Improper adjustment may damage the pump and will void the warranty.

Troubleshooting

Pulsating Flow / Pump Cycles On and Off

  • Check lines for kinks or restrictions
  • Plumbing lines or fittings may be undersized — upgrade to 1/2" minimum
  • Clean faucets and inline filters
  • Check all fittings for air leaks

Failure to Prime / No Pump Discharge (Motor Running)

  • Restricted intake or discharge line
  • Air leak in intake line
  • Punctured pump diaphragm
  • Insufficient amperage to start motor — check wiring gauge and fuse
  • Debris clogged in valves
  • Crack in pump housing

Motor Fails to Turn On

  • Loose or improper wiring connection
  • No power to pump circuit — check battery and fuse
  • Blown fuse
  • Failed pressure switch
  • Defective motor

Pump Fails to Turn Off After Fixtures Are Closed

  • Punctured diaphragm
  • Discharge line leak
  • Defective pressure switch
  • Insufficient voltage — check battery charge
  • Clogged valves in pump head

Low Flow and Pressure

  • Air leak at pump intake
  • Debris accumulation inside pump or plumbing
  • Worn pump bearing (may be accompanied by loud noise)
  • Punctured diaphragm
  • Defective motor

Noisy Operation

  • Check that mounting feet are not overtightened
  • Flexible mounting surface may amplify vibration — remount on solid surface
  • Check for loose head screws
  • Replace rigid pipe runs with flexible hose to reduce noise transmission

Important Notes

  • Always use flexible hose at pump inlet and outlet connections
  • Do not run the pump dry for extended periods
  • Do not use the pump with incompatible chemicals — verify chemical compatibility before use
  • Lack of regular maintenance may void warranty — perform routine inspections
